THE VENUE
THE RUSSELL INDUSTRIAL CENTER
A historic 2,200,000 sq-ft seven building complex, designed by Albert Kahn for John William Murray in 1915, the Russell is a symbol of Detroit's longstanding industrial history. Once a manufacturing site for the automotive industry, the Russell is now a world-renowned hub for artists, artisans, and forward-thinking entrepreneurs.

The Project occupies the Center's massive outdoor courtyard, first floor of Expo building, and an auxiliary building that we call The Art House.
​
Our partnership with The Russell Industrial Center, has allowed MGP to grow and thrive in ways we never dreamed possible. Thank you RIC for your constant and generous support!
GLASS
THE HEART OF THE PROJECT
A lineup of over a hundred glass artists from all over the country will be flameworking, cold working, bending neon and more throughout the weekend.
Feel the heat where you watch from front and center as your favorite artist melts, shapes, and blows glass!
ART
SPRAY CANS, BRUSHES, CANVASES
Over sixty painters, graffiti writers, mixed media artists, and other visual artists will be creating live in our Art House and in the main outdoor courtyard.

Check out finished art work by Detroit's greats and other artists from around the country in the curated Art Gallery as DJs and intimate music acts play from the Art House Stage.
MUSIC
SOUNDTRACK TO THE PROJECT
Watching over the Russell's courtyard, the Main Stage will host a number of musicians including big, national, headlining acts.

A lineup of Local DJs, acoustic sets, solo artists will be playing from the Art House Stage and Catwalk Stage overlooking the flameworkers throughout the course of the project.
AUCTIONS
GRAB YOUR FAVORITE PIECE OF ART
The event culminates with multiple art auctions, both silent and live where festival goers have the opportunity to purchase the creations made throughout the weekend.
The proceeds collected benefit art education and enrichment for Detroit children.

Get hands on with a variety of mediums whether its to sharpen or learn new skills on a personal level or to drive a community piece to come alive throughout the weekend.

From well known glass artists to painters, makers and creators, our indoor and outdoor spaces features vendors from all over showing off their artwork and goods.

Our food court features local Detroit food and drink trucks catering to a variety of tastes. Drop in and grab a snack to fuel you through the weekend!
Grab one of our MGP beer cups and fill it up at one of the two beer trucks. Chill out and relax with friends in the on site beer and spirit garden while the tunes of MGP fill the background!
